The user’s voiceprint is simply confirmed during the PhoneFactor authentication call.
By leveraging an existing voice channel, PhoneFactor simultaneously verifies something you have (your telephone) and something you are (your voiceprint) for the second and third factors of authentication.

Reliable Voiceprint Verification
Like a fingerprint, each individual’s voice is unique and has characteristics, such as pitch and rhythm, which can be mapped and used to verify identity. Multiple algorithms are employed to analyze the unique structure of a user’s voice, creating a complex voiceprint that ensures the highest degree of accuracy.
Adaptive Voice Profiling
The system not only creates a print of the user’s voice during the initial enrollment, but it continually enhances the voiceprint with each successful authentication. Because of the range of the voice profile, the solution is resilient to transient changes in a user’s voice, like a cold.
Filtered Background Noise
The user’s voice is isolated from extraneous noise to guarantee reliability even in noisy environments.
Language Independent
The voiceprint algorithms are language independent. As a result, the system is unaffected by a user’s language, dialect, or accent.
Automated User Enrollment
Voice authentication can be enabled for all or specific users. Once enabled, users can enroll through the PhoneFactor User Portal or during their first authentication call. To complete the enrollment, users will be prompted to record a secret passphrase.
Secret Passphrase
Each user chooses his/her own secret passphrase, allowing the user to choose a phrase that is easy for them to remember. The user must repeat their secret passphrase in order to authenticate, which provides an additional layer of security. Users can change their passphrase after any successful authentication from the PhoneFactor phone menu.
Robust, Scalable Authentication Platform
Biometric voiceprint verification is available as an add-on to the PhoneFactor Extended Edition, which include support for directory synchronization, user self-service, redundancy, and robust reporting and logging capabilities.
