PhoneFactor provides two-factor authentication services. It works by placing an automated phone call or sending a text message to the user to confirm logins and transactions. For the PhoneFactor online demo, the user will login with their user name and password. If the correct credentials are provided, PhoneFactor will place a phone call or send a text message to the user. The user will answer the phone call and respond by pressing # or reply to the text message to authenticate.
SMS Authentication Demo
- Messaging Services – PhoneFactor SMS text messages will be sent from the number 56437.
- Supported Carriers – PhoneFactor is supported by all major carriers, including At&t, Verizon Wireless, Sprint Nextel, Boost, Virgin Mobile, T-Mobile, U.S Cellular, Cricket Communications, Alltel, Cincinnati Bell, Cellular South, NTELOS, CellCom, Carolina West, Apalachian Wireless, Bluegrass Cellular, Centennial Communications, Cox Wireless, GCI Comms, Illinois Valley Cellular, Immix/Keystone Wireless,Nex-Tech, United Wireless, West central Wireless.
- Cost – To use the PhoneFactor SMS Authentication Demo, message and data rates may apply. Charges are dependent on your service plan, which may include fees from your carrier to send and receive text messages.
- Message Frequency – PhoneFactor sends one message in response to each authentication attempt. PhoneFactor will not send you any unsolicited messages.
- Opting Out – You can opt-out of all PhoneFactor programs at anytime by texting STOP to 56437. A confirmation message will be sent back to you.
