James Montgomery, CEO – Montgomery & Co
James Montgomery serves as chief executive officer at Montgomery & Co and is focused on the strategic growth and direction of the firm, which has quickly grown to become one of the leading investment banks with offices in four locations on the West Coast. Mr. Montgomery founded the firm in 1986, and chairs the Executive Committee, Management Committee and Investment Committee of Montgomery & Co. He also serves as chief executive officer of Digital Coast Ventures LLC, an affiliated investment vehicle, and was a founder of venture capital firm Palomar Ventures.

Mr. Montgomery is a recognized industry expert in high technology industries and markets, and has advised leading global, media, communications and technology companies regarding industry consolidation, new market entry, divestitures, strategic alliances and capital formation. Mr. Montgomery has also been a seed investor in a range of successful software, technology, biotechnology and communications companies.

In addition to serving on the Board of Positive Networks, Mr. Montgomery is also on the board of trustees of the California Science Center Foundation, the University of California San Diego Foundation and the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Montgomery received his Master’s degree in economics from Cambridge University and holds a B.A. degree from the University of California, San Diego.

Patrick G. Doherty, Managing Member – Saturday Capital, LLC
Patrick Doherty is the founder and managing member of Saturday Capital, a private equity fund focused on early stage venture and late stage buyouts and a founder and President of Saturday Capital’s predecessor fund, Mariner Capital Partners, both of which focus on venture investments in financial process technologies, business and administrative service and internet and cloud-based technologies.

Mr. Doherty has over twenty years of experience advising privately-held businesses in capital formation and ownership and managerial transitions. Prior to forming MCP, Mr. Doherty was a Managing Director and Group Head of A.G. Edwards’ Consumer and Industrial investment banking practice. During his tenure there, he led a staff of mergers & acquisition professionals which focused on executing sell-side and buy-side engagements for lower middle market privately-held corporations.

Before joining A.G. Edwards, Mr. Doherty was an investment banker in the mergers & acquisitions department at Dean Witter Reynolds in New York and held several management positions with Eagle Snacks, Inc. He is a board member of several private companies as well as Nexxus Lighting (NASD:NEXS). Mr. Doherty received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University.
